Barre de L'isle Rain Forest Trail
This trail runs along the perimeter of the rain forest and climbs to the top of Morne la Combe. Only experienced walkers are capable of this hike. The mountain rises to a height of 1,446 feet and lies on the ridge of Barre de Lisle offering breath taking views of the Roseau and Mabouya valleys. The walk takes about three hours.
Union Nature Trail
A winding graveled path snakes its way through a dry forest inhabited by humming birds, finches and warblers. This trail brings a tourist in close contact with personal views of various interesting tree species, medicinal herbs and local fruit trees including an exotic wildlife at a miniature zoo. There is also a center that provides information about the island's threatened species, vegetation zones and life in the island's forest and bushes. Depending upon the type of tour and the number of visitors, the schedule and prices vary accordingly.
Fregate Island Nature Trail
This tour offers various scenic views on a trail encircling the national park. The trail is a mile long and it stretches along the island's Atlantic Coast. The tour includes the breeding ground of St. Lucia's Fregate bird population, a spot that also habitates a number of rare species of birds, Boa Constrictors and some rare forms of vegetation. The tours are organised through St. Lucia National Trust.
Morne Le Blanc / Laborie
The mountain of Morne Le Blanc rises over the coastal community of Laborie and over the southern plains of St. Lucia. The peak of the mountain offers a view of the distant St. Vincent and also includes a scenic and shady resting spot for picnics.
Southern Safari
Through St. Lucia's interior, this bus tour stops at historic sites plus at a working replica at an old plantation house in Balembouche. Remains of a water wheel and ancient Amerindians "potholes" provide a fascinating observation. A visit to the Pitons and a petroglyph site comprises of another version of this tour returning by boat along the west coast. The tour includes lunch.
Hardy Point Cactus Valley Walking Trek
A trekking tour which can also be taken by bus starts at Hardy Point which is a natural outcrop with beautiful views of the entire Esperance Bay, the nothern coast, and the La Sociere mountain range. There are stops at Cactus valley relevently named because of its various habitate species, and at various "blowholes" created by the force of Atlantic ocean. The trek also includes Pigeon Island, across Donkey Beach with pleasant sightseeing and swimming. The Jambe de Bois Restaurant offers lunch as a part of the trek.
An island that travellers dream about is what St. Lucia is all about. A rich tropical paradise yet quite unknown. Come and experience it for yourself !

Introductory figures released by the St. Lucia Tourist Board show that the number of tourist stopover, arrivals i.e. persons staying 24 hours or more, increased by 10% in May 2008 which counted up to 27,782 visitors compared to 25,212 visitors who arrived in May 2007.
